Jacob Blake Is Paralyzed From The Waist Down After Being Shot By Police, Father Says
Update #2 (Aug. 25th): Jacob Blake’s father has given an update on his condition after he was shot eight times by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin over the weekend.
Unfortunately, Jacob Blake is said to be paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors aren’t sure if it’s temporary. His father asked,
“What justified all those shots? What justified doing that in front of my grandsons? What are we doing?
He added that there are “eight holes” in his son’s body and continued,
I want to put my hand on my son’s cheek and kiss him on his forehead, and then I’ll be OK. I’ll kiss him with my mask. The first thing I want to do is touch my son.”
Jacob Blake’s father is en route from Charlotte, North Carolina to see him in Wisconsin.
Original Story (Aug. 24th): Protests and riots have broken out in outrage following the police shooting of a Black man, Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The incident happened on Sunday, August 23rd and footage began to flood social media shortly after.

Madison, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers released a statement stating that Jacob Blake was
“shot in the back multiple times, in broad daylight.”
He continued,
“While we do not have all of the details yet, what we know for certain is that he is not the first Black man or person to have been shot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement in our state or our country.”
A press release was issued Monday, August 24th, from Josh Kaul, the Wisconsin Attorney General stating that the Wisconsin Department of Justice said it would lead the investigation of the shooting and added that the officers involved have been placed on administrative leave.
