Trump Says Lil Wayne Is A ‘Nice Guy’ & An ‘Activist’ As He Reflects On Their Meeting

Without giving any specifics, President Donald Trump briefly responded to a reporter’s question about his Thursday (October 29) meeting with rapper Lil Wayne. The reporter inquired about the reason that he met with the rap artist. Donald Trump responded:

“Well, he wanted a meeting. He’s a really nice guy. He’s really an activist, in a very positive way. And he asked for a meeting, and we had the meeting. And as you saw, the meeting went very well.”

Lil Wayne also took to his official Twitter with a similar summation of their discussion. He wrote:

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listed to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done”

The Platinum Plan that Lil Wayne is referring to is a comprehensive plan that aims to increase ownership in the Black community and “uplift” the community as a whole through the following:

“increase access to capital, fuel Black-owned businesses, cut taxes, increase education opportunities, lower the cost of healthcare, further criminal justice reform, make Juneteenth a National Holiday, prosecute the KKK and ANTIFA as terrorist organizations, and make lynching a national hate crime.”
