Chrissy Teigen Reveals She Showered For The First Time In Two Months Following Pregnancy Loss

Model, chef and mother Chrissy Teigen opened up to her followers this week about the aftermath of the death of her infant son. The 35-year-old, who shares two kids with singer John Legend, shared on social media:

“I just had my first shower in like two months.”

Chrissy Teigen also added:

“I’ve been taking baths because I couldn’t stand to be in the shower. I couldn’t, like, physically stand in the shower….I feel really, really good…I feel very clear and very good.”

In October, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend revealed they lost their third child after pregnancy complications. At the time, they shared a sad message saying in part:

“To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”

She also got a tattoo to honor her late son.

Recently she penned a post on Instagram getting candid about the loss writing:

“when I’m old and grey, I will look back on the last two months as being brutal, exhausting, sad, physically challenging, mentally painful bitches of a couple months. But I refuse to not find humor in both the rage-fits and the outfits. I already see the leaves as orange instead of grey, realized the sky is indeed blue and not black and horn honks on my forced morning walks only bring me to my knees half the time. I can make it up my stairs only stopping once or twice instead of every other, and can get out of the bathtub all by myself as long as I have the promise john will dry me off. anyhow the point is, f*********ck, I think it’s happening ??”

Just weeks after sharing pictures of her losing her 20-week-old son, she posted a message to those who had criticized her for sharing the personal moment, saying in part:

“I cannot express how little I care that you hate the photos. How little I care that it’s something you wouldn’t have done. I lived it, I chose to do it, and more than anything, these photos aren’t for anyone but the people who have lived this or are curious enough to wonder what something like this is like. These photos are only for the people who need them. The thoughts of others do not matter to me.”

She also posted a positive message to her Instagram on December 2nd with a picture of a quote saying:

“There is nothing stronger than a broken woman who has rebuilt herself.- Hannah Gadsby”
