Bow Wow Says He Has A ‘Big Meeting’ With BET After Saying He Wants Exec Job W/ The Network

Update #2 (Dec. 15th): It looks like Bow Wow is getting one step closer to his dream job at BET.

He tweeted that he has a “big meeting” with the network this week.

He added his plans for BET go beyond reviving popular live countdown show 106 & Park. 

He wrote:

“Just want everyone to know its not just 106 or a show with that concept. Its bringing more music and music thrived shows to the network and hip hop documentaries such as the chronicle series followed by more hip hop thrived content.”

“We need to bring back teen summit. We need to tap in more with our hbcu’s. We have to make shows and content that speaks to us. We need a rap city type show back. Along with original shows. We about to make some BIG leaps. Lets get it.”

He also told former BET personality Big Tigger: 

“Get ready!”

Original Story (Dec. 14th): Rapper, actor, and TV host, Shad Moss a.k.a. Bow Wow wants an executive position at BET to help bring back some of the original programming that was popular in the early 2000s.

It all started when a fan said that Bow Wow would be a great next President of the channel.

Bow Wow replied saying that he would love the position.

Bow Wow then added that his dream job is to get a “high position” at the network.

“My only dream job now is i want to take over BET. I want a high position. I was blessed to host but NOW i want an office. I want to run and come up with content for the network. I know what they missing. All you have to do is LISTEN to the people.

When a fan asked Bow Wow why he wanted to help BET, he responded that saying that he knows what the station needs.

“Because BET means so much to me. [It] helped launch careers. Its sad to see where they at. Its sad to see celebs not caring about the awards. Its said that THEY ALWAYS GET TROLLED CONSTANTLY. I see whats missing. They are NOT LISTENING TO THE VIEWERS. it starts there.”

He added that BET forgot what made them such a great network.

“BET forgot what made them HOT! The MUSIC!!! breaking artist etc… music shows that mattered. Now its like lifetime. Just a bunch of sitcoms. Do you know the only time there is music on BET IS when there is an award show? Think about that. Like 3 x out the year. Thats crazy!”

Bow Wow also says that Diddy inspired him with the creation of his TV station REVOLT.

“Because watching my brotha diddy do it with revolt… IT TAKES TIME AND ALOT OF MONEY. Even oprah had issues with “own” at first. Its not easy creating your own station.”

Bow Wow then shared the list of shows he would want to bring back of given an executive position with BET.  He wrote,

“My dream list for BET: Rap city is back – hosted by SMACK 106& Park is back – digitally and tv Since we in a virtual world why not bring back Cita but revamped. Im def bringing back – UNCUT (online only) And should we bring back college hill? Plus more shows and content.”

theJasmineBRAND previously broke the news that a College Hill reboot is in the works.

He then told the network:

“Yo @bet yall need to hire me in the office! The people have spoken! I have major plays and ideas that can turn the network around and get back to the formula with a new touch! We need to speak this week!”

If given the position he adds that he also would want to help upcoming artists as well.

“Also i want to support the new upcoming and unsigned artist and have a show or a lane for them too at @betwe use to have music matters. We must keep the culture moving and new.”

He stressed that popular music countdown show 106 & Park, should return and be shot in Atlanta.

Adding,

“Think about it… mulatto never got the chance to hit the 106 stage. Summer walker nle choppa yachty lil baby da baby megan jack harlow …. etc… list goes on! Its crazy to know there is no platform we can call home or go to. We gotta change this ASAP! @bet”
