Jeremih Says He Saw ‘A White Light’ During Near Death COVID-19 Battle: My Heart Stopped

Jeremih is sharing the gruesome details of his hospitalization after a near-death experience with COVID-19. During an interview with Sway In The Morning earlier this week, Jeremih explained:

“Truth be told… I’m a living, walking testimony. I was really down bad for the last month and a half while I was in there. I don’t even remember the day I went in. That’s how messed up it was that whole time in here.”

It was previously reported that Jeremih was in the ICU while battling the coronavirus.

During his interview, he also thanked Chance The Rapper who used his influence to help his mother get into the hospital after she was denied access. He continued and explained just how bad things got for him:

“I had a tube down my throat for about a week and a half. I was really in a dream. I woke up like two times and all I remember is just seeing a white light those two times I was in there. What I ended up having, and I don’t mind sharing this because now I’m immune, it was called multiple inflammatory syndrome, MIS, which is a rare cause of COVID. My whole insides, all my organs became inflamed. My heart went out, stopped beating, and started beating irregularly, my kidneys went out, my liver started to fail and go bad.”

He said he had no idea it was that bad until he was released from ICU. He opened up about his recovery process and said:

“I had to learn how to walk again, eat, all of that.”

He said he now sees his experience as a”blessing” and added:

“I needed to sit down, I needed to take a break. It’s been 13 years since I’ve been me.”

He vowed that moving forward, he’s going to be his best self.

Continued prayers for Jeremih’s full recovery!
