Travis Scott Featured On New Single “Hold That Heat”, Marking Rappers Second Song Appearance Since Astroworld Tragedy
Houston rap star Travis Scott is diving back onto the music scene.
Following an appearance on Kanye West’s Donda 2, Travis Scott debuted his second post hiatus feature on a collab with Atlanta rap vets Southside and Future for the record titled ‘Hold That Heat’. The Cactus Jack founder provides the first two minutes of the hip-hop track with his signature adlibs and flow.
Travis Scott, 30, has been mostly void of media presence since his 3rd annual Astroworld music festival turned deadly last November. Ten individuals, including a 9-year-old Travis fan, lost their lives after a rowdy crowd began to stampede. Travis Scott and the concert management company, Live Nation, are currently being sued over the event.

Following the incident, the “Sicko Mode” artist launched “Project Help”. The initiative pledged $5 million dollars to bettering concert security, offering mental health resources in underserved communities, among other things.

As far as post-Astroworld stage performances go, Travis performed at a Pre-Oscars party last month and a Post-Coachella event more recently. Fans are still awaiting news on the release of his 4th studio album “Utopia”.
