U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams Urges LeBron James To Take COVID-19 Vaccination Shot
These days it seems LeBron James has been called on quite a bit. Just months after L.A. Sheriff Alex Villanueva called on LeBron James to match a monetary reward for the arrest of a Los Angeles shooter of two police officers, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams is now enlisting help from the Los Angeles Laker.
In speaking to the KTLA Morning News, General Jerome Adams stated,
“LeBron James, I know you’ve been a big supporter of masks. I want to know when you’re going to take the shot. Not the basketball shot, but the COVID shot. Because I did it because I know it’s safe, and we want to make sure people understand this is how we end the pandemic.”
He added that during a recent trip to Akron, OH, LeBron’s home town, fans asked if the NBA superstar was set to take the vaccination. He added,
“I think that’s how we promote confidence, and we want people to lead by example.”
Though vaccinations for the coronavirus have been a controversial topic, other public figures have gotten the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination such as president elect Joe Biden and vice president Mike Pence.
During the holiday season and with Christmas now approaching, medical experts state that COVID-19 cases are still on the rise and fear more spread of the virus during holiday traveling.
