Pat McGrath Becomes First Makeup Artist To Receive Damehood From Queen Elizabeth II

British Makeup artist Pat McGrath got a prestigious honor from Queen Elizabeth II.  She just became the first makeup artist to be named a Dame on the Queen’s New Year’s honors list.

She is now a part of a small group of selected women who have achieved a certain level of success in their respective fields.

Pat McGrath Labs is one of the biggest-selling beauty brands after Pat McGrath launched it in 2015. In October, her collaboration with skateboarding lifestyle brand Supreme sold out in only 8.2 seconds.

The makeup artist was recognized by the Queen in 2014 when she recognized as an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for her services to the fashion and beauty industry.

She took to Twitter to express her gratitude for the honor.

She also shared her feelings on getting the prestigious acknowledgment on Instagram.

Pat McGrath has been a part of hundreds of photoshoots, including Italian Vogue for the last 20 years.  She oversees beauty looks for nearly 60 fashion shows every season and serves as British Vogue’s Beauty Editor-at-Large, since 2017.
