Sunny Hostin Tells Van Jones ‘The Black Community Doesn’t Trust You’

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin called out political commentator and Van Jones, alleging that the black community doesn’t trust him.

While Van Jones was a guest on the daytime talk show, Sunny Hostin told Van Jones that some in the community see him as a “political opportunist.” She pointed out that he has commended Donald Trump in the past saying:

“Donald Trump has done good stuff for the black community – opportunity zone stuff, black college stuff. There’s a side to Donald Trump that I don’t think he gets enough credit for.”

She then noted that he also got emotional when Joe Biden won the presidential election.

Sunny Hostin added,

“People in the black community don’t trust you anymore…”

He later defended his comments and stated he’s going to keep pushing for criminal reform “whoever’s in that room.”

Co-host Joy Behar seemed to shade his comments as well when he was finished. She paused until the commercial break music began playing and said,

“Oh, we’re back. You’re finished?”
