FX Series ‘Pose’ Will End With 3rd Season
The hit FX television series Pose is coming to an end.
Pose is a drama series that takes place in the 80s/90s and centers around New York City’s African-American and Latino LGBTQ drag ball culture scene. Pose will wrap at the end of its 3rd season that is scheduled to premiere on May 2. The final season will reportedly only have seven episodes, with the final one airing on June 6. One of the show creators is Ryan Murphy who also had a hand in creating other popular tv series such as Glee, American Horror Story, and 9-1-1 on Fox. Ryan Murphy shared his thoughts on the well-liked drama series ending and said,
“We got to tell the exact story we wanted, as we wanted to tell it, and I’m incredibly honored and grateful.”
Even though Pose has only been on the air for a short period of time the series has already received a few honorable awards. In 2019 Billy Porter, who plays Pray Tell on the show, won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. That same year Pose also won a Peabody Award.
MJ Rodriguez, who portrays Blanca Evangelista on Pose, took to her Instagram to reflect on the show and thank her fans for supporting Pose from the beginning. She wrote,
“What a Joy, it’s has been to be on a show like this. The ride was so worth it! The hard work all of us have put in, has payed off, and the relationships anf connections that we have created are forever lasting!
