Kanye West – Forbes Denies He’s The Richest Black Person In America, Disputes His Net Worth
Kanye West’s Reported $6.6 Billion Net Worth Disputed By ‘Forbes’
Forbes is disputing recent reports that Kanye West’s net worth is close to $7 billion. As previously reported, multiple reports credited Bloomberg with noting that the 43-year-old rapper has a combined value of potentially $4.7 billion. Combined with additional assets, this net worth is an estimated $6.6 billion. This figure made him the richest Black person in the U.S.
However, Forbes’ staff writer Madeline Berg, wrote an article disputing this. The outlet estimates that his actual worth about $1.8 billion. Berg explained:
“West’s wildly optimistic approach to his net worth mirrors the approach used by Donald Trump, who insists the value of his name be included in any net worth estimate. Trump, who we value at $2.5 , says his brand has an intrinsic value, regardless of actual revenue. West and his camp are making a similar argument for businesses attached to the Yeezy name.”
Forbes estimates the Yeezy Gap deal at $0 due, as no clothing has yet been made available for purchase.

Kanye West has yet to react to either report.
