Kanye West Documentary Sells To Netflix For $30M
According to reports, a Kanye West multi-part series Netflix documentary is on the way. Sources claim that the project, that has been more than 20 years in the making was required for $30 million.
The project is said to be helmed by Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah — more commonly known as Coodie & Chike. The pair worked with Kanye West on his first videos, “Through the Wire” and the third version of “Jesus Walks.”
Sources claim that the docu will tell the story of the Kanye’s rise to success, while also dealing with the death of his mother, Donda West, and the impact it had on the rapper. The yet-to-be-titled docu will also allegedly follow his personal evolution in recent years; his work in fashion design and his unsuccessful run for President in 2020.
The project will allegedly be released later this year.
