Kandi Burruss On Friendship W/ Porsha Williams: I Don’t Really Know Where I Stand

Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams have come a long way since their explosive season nine fallout on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. 

During the season, which aired in 2016 and 2017, Porsha Williams repeated a rumor that Kandi Burruss and her husband wanted to drug her and bring her to their alleged sex dungeon. Kandi Burruss adamantly denied the rumors (and any existence of a sex dungeon in her home). It was later revealed that Phaedra Parks was behind the rumor.

Ultimately, despite the heated drama, the two were able to get back on good terms.

Now, their friendship has hit another rough point after the rumors resurfaced when the cast taped the season 13 reunion.

The singer and reality star said on the PEOPLE Every Day podcast earlier this week,

“I don’t really know where I stand with Porsha right now. I have no idea … we were doing okay. And then obviously the whole dungeon conversation at the reunion was a little weird [and] awkward, but it seemed cool.”

She said things got even more awkward between them after Porsha Williams addressed a recent Vulture article. The article said Porsha Williams had producers delete an argument between her and Kandi Burruss over the Black Lives Matter movement.

Kandi continued and said,

“And then there was some article that came out the other day. So now I don’t know how she’s feeling about that. It was talking about scenes they didn’t end up putting in the show [and] that she didn’t really want to be a part of the show, and it was just a whole bunch of mess.”

Despite their setback, Kandi made it clear she doesn’t “really have a problem” with Porsha, adding,

“We had to discuss things that happened. And sometimes that can make it uncomfortable between us. Obviously, I don’t really bite my tongue that much. I tried not to put people on blast or whatever, but it’s weird when you’re on a show and you’re expected to talk about those things. So it just always makes the relationship awkward.”
