Quavo & Saweetie Won’t Face Charges Over Elevator Dispute

Update #2 (May 5th): It looks like Saweetie and Quavo won’t be charged for their viral elevator dispute. The LA City Attorney decided not to file charges against the exes, who got into the altercation before their breakup.

The city’s attorney said based on the footage, it’s not likely that either Quavo or Saweetie would be convicted, according to Page Six.

Original Story (April 1st): The shocking physical dispute between Saweetie and Quavo is reportedly being investigated by LAPD.

As previously reported, footage of Saweetie and Quavo having a physical altercation in an elevator surfaced earlier this week.

The clip, obtained by TMZ, shows a struggle between the two in the elevator of a North Hollywood apartment complex. Saweetie was reportedly staying there at the time. In the footage, she attempts to take a case from the Migos rapper. He pulls it from her, knocking her to the floor. Quavo continues to stand as Saweetie remains on the floor.

Now, LAPD is said to be looking into the incident, which reportedly took place last year before they broke up.

According to TMZ, police want to talk to Saweetie and Quavo separately to hear their sides of what happened. They also want to find out what happened before and after the incident was captured. Once they reach a conclusion, they could hand the case over to the City Attorney for evaluation.

Quavo and Saweetie have remained quiet about the incident.

Saweetie announced their breakup via Twitter earlier this month after being with Quavo for roughly three years. Her tweets lead to a back and forth between them.
