Don Cheadle Reveals He & His Girlfriend, Actress Brigid Coulter, Secretly Tied The Knot During COVID-19 Pandemic, Dated For 28 Years

It looks like COVID-19 made Don Cheadle want to lock things down with his girlfriend of almost three decades.

The award-winning actor revealed during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today (June 30th) that he and his longtime girlfriend Brigid Coulter tied the knot.

Comedian Wanda Sykes, who was filling in for Ellen DeGeneres, first revealed the news when she told the Black Monday star,

“You texted me at the top of the year, I guess, and you told me that you just got married. And I was like, ‘Oh d***, the pandemic got to Don and Bridgid.'”

She said she was surprised to find out they weren’t already married, which Don Cheadle said he understood.

“Yeah, I mean, that’s understandable given that we’ve been together 28 years before we got married. I hold you blameless.”

Don Cheadle and Brigid Coulter started dating in 1992. Since then, they’ve welcomed two daughters together Ayana and Imani.

They also appeared in the 1997 film Rosewood together.

He hasn’t been shy about showing love to his now-wife on social media.

He possibly hinted at the private union in February when he shared a photo of her with the caption,

#wifey#wife#life#yay

Congrats to Don Cheadle and Brigid Coulter!
