Kyle Massey’s Lawyer Says Actor ‘Intends To Aggressively’ Fight Accusations He Sent Explicit Images To 13-Year-Old Girl, Insists It’s An Extortion Attempt

Kyle Massey has released a statement after being charged with a felony for allegedly sending explicit photos to a teenage girl in 2019.

His attorney, Lee A. Hutton, shared a statement on the That’s So Raven star’s behalf, first pointing out the alleged victim has now filed claims in Washington after losing a civil case in California.

“It is unfortunate that Kyle Massey had to learn through the media yesterday that the 2019 allegations have resurfaced in the State of Washington a year after their dismissal. Massey claims that the allegations then and now are extortive. The statements made to the police regarding the accuser’s own counsel’s advice seem peculiar, tearing away the veracity from the stale allegations. The accusers in no hidden agenda attempt to use the Washington courts as a platform for revenge after losing the civil matter. Indeed, California counsel withdrew from representation from the accuser leaving us to conclude that he was not willing to make misrepresentations to the court.”

The statement continues and notes issues with the Washington case that have already surfaced.

“The Washington matter is already showing problematic signs. Massey was never properly served or notified as represented to the court and the pleadings are procedurally and substantively deficient on its face.”

It concludes by saying,

“Massey intends to aggressively defend these accusations again and will seek civil damages from those that refuse to hear the facts. We plan to seek an early dismissal — finally putting these extortive attempts to rest.”

As previously reported Kyle Massey has been charged with one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes for allegedly sending pornographic material to a 13-year-old girl.

The case is linked to a $1.5 million civil suit that was filed against Kyle Massey in March 2019. Back then, was accused of sending “numerous sexually explicit text messages, images, and videos”, but insisted the accuser was trying to extort him.

The civil suit appeared to reach a dead end as the girl says her legal team didn’t think Massey had the funds to make the lawsuit worth the trouble, according to TMZ. . She responded by filing a report with the Sheriff’s Office.

Police allege they started looking into the case early last year. The alleged victim’s mom said Massey has known her daughter since she was four. The mother provided authorities with a thumb drive that included the inappropriate content Massey allegedly sent via Snap Chat when her daughter was 13. The footage allegedly includes a video of a man (said to be Massey), showing his genitals.

Still, things got interesting when Massey’s mother, Angel Massey, spoke out on the allegations. She claimed Massey had a sexual relationship with the alleged victim’s mother when he was 16 years old, and that’s who he was sending the pictures to.

Angel Massey said in a video,

“Kyle met the mom when he was 16 years old in California…They developed a relationship, started having sex. Kyle was 16, she’s seven years older than him. The relationship lasted over several years, not consistently but over the years. That’s how Kyle knows her. So he knows the mother. He had an intimate, sexual relationship with the mother.”

She added,

“Even though he consented to having sex with her at 16, in the state of California that’s illegal because a minor can’t consent to sex. That’s how Kyle knows this mother, and he never sent anything to a minor. This is an old attempt from the extortion in 2019.”
