Bill Cosby Vows To Fight Lawsuit Alleging He Sexually Assaulted A Woman In The Playboy Mansion + Wants To Go On Comedy Tour
Now that he’s out of prison, Bill Cosby is trying to get back into business–as well as handle some pending legal matters.
As previously reported, courts recently vacated Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction–freeing the comedian after about three years in prison. Now that he’s released, Bill Cosby is allegedly seeking to get back on the road for a comedy tour. TMZ reports that Andrew Wyatt—Cosby‘s representative–has allegedly been working to get the ball rolling for him to get back into comedy. He reportedly told the outlet:
“The world wants to see Mr. Cosby.”
In addition to this prospective comedy tour, Bill Cosby is allegedly also seeking to share his story in a docuseries focusing on the sexual assault accusations against him. Also, the disgraced comedian wants to begin making appearances in neighborhoods, prisons, and schools around the country to discuss good citizenship and anti-violence.
The news of Bill Cosby‘s prospective tour comes amid his declaration that he’ll fight a current lawsuit against him. For the record, despite being freed from prison, Bill Cosby is still being sued in civil court by various women–including Judi Huth.
Judi Huth, who’s represented by Gloria Allred, sued Bill Cosby back in 2015. She claims Cosby sexually assaulted her in the Playboy Mansion back in 1974.
Taking aim at Judi Huth‘s lawsuit, Andrew Wyatt addressed the matter in a statement earlier today (Wednesday, July 7th). He said:
“With the reversal of Mr. Cosby’s conviction, his legal team, led by Jennifer Bonjean of the Bonjean Law Group, now turns its attention to the civil lawsuit brought by Gloria Allred on behalf of her client Judy Huth. Since Mr. Cosby’s release from prison and the dismissal of all charges against him, Ms. Allred has been hard at work giving press statements about the alleged merits of her client’s 45-year-old allegations.”
The next court date on the matter is set for August 13th.
