Damson Idris Reacts To ‘Snowfall’ Not Receiving Any Emmy Nominations
Damson Idris is speaking out after Snowfall was snubbed by the Emmys. As previously reported, yesterday, July 13, was filled with many congratulations as news broke on the nominations for the prestigious television awards. As happy as some may have been with the 2021 nominations, others couldn’t help but notice that the popular series Snowfall was left out this year. Snowfall is a crime drama television series that premiered in 2017. The show has earned a strong fanbase since its initial release and on March 23, 2021, FX renewed the series for a fifth season.
Despite the series being popular the show did not receive a single nomination from the Emmys this year. Damson Idris, 29, who stars in the series, took to his Twitter and shared his thoughts on Snowfall not being nominated for an Emmy. He tweeted,
“We were not nominated for anything this year. But God bless all the amazing supporters of #SnowfallFX
We love and do it for you. See you soon.”

This year’s Emmys will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer. He released a statement on his upcoming hosting duties and said,
“Since I was a little boy huddled up next to my grandmother, television has always been my reliable friend, so it is an enormous honor for me to host this year’s Emmy Awards. Throughout the roller-coaster of a year that we have all lived through, television has helped us stay connected as a society like never before. It not only entertained us, but as it always has, it helped to open our eyes, educate us, and hopefully brought about a better understanding of who we are as a people. I can’t wait to take the stage to celebrate all of the great shows and performances that made us laugh, cry, dance and sing over the past year.”
