Eminem To Play FBI Informant Richard ‘White Boy Rick’ Wershe In 50 Cent’s ‘Black Mafia Family’ Series
50 Cent’s long-time friend is joining the cast of his latest show “Black Mafia Family”. Rapper Eminem is set to portray Rick “White Boy Rick” Wershe. The infamous “White Boy Rick” was a Detroit native who became an FBI Informant at the age of 17. He worked closely with local gangs while selling drugs and weapons. There is no word yet if Eminem will recur as “White Boy Rick” but this marks the rapper’s first role in almost 20 years since 8 MILE, which was released in 2002.
50 Cent said of Eminem joining the series,
“I’m honored and appreciative of my good friend Em for supporting my new show ‘BMF’. We couldn’t do a show based in Detroit without incorporating the legend that is Eminem.”

Eminem and 50 Cent have been friends for almost two decades. It began in 20o2 when Eminem listened to 50 Cent’s mixtape and eventually signed the New York rapper with Dr.Dre. 50 Cent went on to release his first debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’, under Eminem’s Shady records. It featured his breakout single In Da Club.
The two rappers became “partners in crimes” throughout the early 2000 and although 50 Cent parted ways from Eminem’s Shady Records in 2014, the two continue to support and show up for one another throughout the years.

Black Mafia Family is set to premiere on STARZ, Sept. 26. It follows the story of two brothers, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who became the head of Detroit’s most notorious family in crime during the late 1980s. The show has an all-star cast including Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr.(Big Meech’s biological son), Serayah, Da’Vinchi, La La Anthony, Arkeisha “Kash Doll” Knight, and Michole Briana White.
