Chrissy Teigen Has Not ‘Fully Processed’ The Loss Of Her Third Child, Jack: Life Is So F***ing Complicated
Chrissy Teigen is opening up about how she’s coping with the loss of her child.
Yesterday (Sunday, Aug. 22nd), Chrissy Teigen uploaded a photo of her and John Legend dining at a restaurant. The lighthearted photo was accompanied by a lengthy caption, and–at one point–Chrissy Teigen proceeded to touch on the loss of their third child, Jack. After reminiscing about her and John Legend‘s lives in New York, Chrissy Teigen wrote:
“I’m slightly down lately. It kind of started when I was thinking of my book caption and typed out ‘my third baby is here!!’, as in cookbook, then realized my third baby will never be here. Then I realized I threw myself into the book to not think of the real, actual third baby. I don’t really feel like I fully processed Jack and now that I don’t have the alcohol to numb it away, things are just… there, waiting to be acknowledged. I guess what I’m saying here is life is so f***ing complicated.”

Chrissy Teigen lost Jack due to partial placenta abruption, resulting in her having to deliver him at just 20 weeks last year. Sadly, the baby did not survive. She announced the news in an emotional Instagram post, writing in part:
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough… To our Jack–I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”

After the tragedy, Chrissy Teigen‘s got Jack‘s name tattooed on her right wrist.

We send thoughts and prayers to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend as they continue to mourn the loss of their child.
