Adult Film Star Ron Jeremy Indicted On More Than 30 Sexual Assault Counts

Ron Jeremy was indicted for more than 30 counts of sexual assault stemming from allegations involving 21 victims from the past two decades.

The adult film star known as “The Hedgehog,” plead not guilty on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021 to all counts.

The grand jury returned and indicted him to 12 counts of forcible rape, seven counts of forcible oral copulation, six counts of sexual battery by restraint, four counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object, two counts of sexual penetration of an unconscious or asleep person and one count each of lewd act upon a child under the age of 14 or 15, sodomy by use of force and assault with intent to commit rape.

Jeremy, 57, who’s real name is Ron Jeremy Hyatt, is a pornographic actor and director who rose to fame in the adult film industry during the 1970s.

In a press release, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said,

“Far too often, survivors of sexual assault suffer in isolation.”

He added,

“We must ensure that survivors have all options available to help with recovery, including trauma-informed services for healing and support to report such crimes.”

Ron Jeremy is set to return to court on October 12, 2021.
