Tory Lanez Sued Over Alleged Involvement In Hit & Run Incident, Plaintiff Claims An Unknown Driver Caused The Accident While Driving The Rapper’s Vehicle

It looks like Tory Lanez has a new legal matter to deal with!

Yesterday (Wednesday, Sept. 22nd), reports circulated that Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) has been sued. Reportedly, a man named Barry Fine filed a lawsuit against both Tory Lanez and an insurance company, AIG.

Barry Fine claims that back in early 2021, he was involved in a car accident caused by someone driving a vehicle allegedly owned by Tory Lanez. According to the court documents, an unknown driver caused “a chain reaction rear-end collision.” The unknown driver then allegedly fled the scene, and Tory Lanez‘s supposed car–a 2016 Range Rover–was later found abandoned on the I-95 in Miami.

Barry Fine claims he sustained serious injuries and property damage from the ordeal. Specifically, he alleges the accident has resulted in disfigurement, significant scarring, a permanent injury, physical/mental pain and suffering, medical expenses, loss of earning capacity, and out-of-pocket expenses. He blames the incident on Tory Lanez‘s alleged negligence and is requesting $30,000 in damages.

Tory Lanez has not responded to the suit in court.

This new lawsuit comes as Tory Lanez faces other high-profile legal issues. Last July, Megan Thee Stallion infamously accused Tory of shooting her in the foot. In the aftermath, Megan Thee Stallion was granted a protective order against him. However, Tory Lanez ultimately violated this order after he joined DaBaby for a surprise performance at Rolling Loud, as he was within 100 yards of Megan Thee Stallion.

As a result of his violation, Tory Lanez‘s bail was increased by $60,000. However, Tory ultimately ignited speculation that he may go to jail over the matter after he cleared his Instagram account earlier this week. He also tweeted, “It’s been real.”
