Kanye Reveals Text Message Apologizing To Soulja Boy For Axing His Verse Off Album: I Should Have Told You

Kanye West has mended fences with Soulja Boy!

Back in late August, Kanye West‘s highly-anticipated Donda album was released to the world. Once Soulja Boy heard Donda, however, he was surprised to learn that a verse he contributed was ultimately left off of the hit album. Soulja Boy had apparently sent Kanye West a verse for “Remote Control” that was never used, and he was upset about it!

Soulja Boy initially expressed his thoughts on the matter by tweeting:

“Idk how to feel [about ‘Donda’], Kanye sent me that song ‘remote control’ and I don’t hear my verse on it… hmm f**k that n***a.”

He later added:

“F**k that my Kanye West diss song finna drop I’m tired of sparing this clown a** n***a.”

The matter was recently brought up again when Kanye West appeared on Drink Champs, initially denying that the verse was good. However, he followed this up by claiming:

“Soulja Boy is top five most influential… and I’m not gonna argue with you n***as about this at all. As far as to what we are today.”

In turn, Soulja Boy blasted Kanye West during a livestream:

“Don’t get on no motherf**kin’ platform and say different from what the f**k you told me to my face. Tell me to my face that s**t was trash.”

Despite their issues, Kanye West just revealed that he and Soulja Boy have put the drama behind them and are on good terms again! Earlier today (Wednesday, Nov. 10th), Kanye uploaded a screenshot of a conversation between him and Soulja Boy. He kicked the exchange off by texting:

“Yo it’s Ye. Love you bro. I should have told you I wasn’t gonna use the verse.”

Soulja Boy responded:

“Love you too bro. That’s all I wanted.”
