Letitia Wright’s Unvaxxed Status Could Keep Her From Returning To America To Finish Filming ‘Black Panther 2’
Could Letitia Wright’s personal anti-COVID vaccine beliefs indefinitely halt production for Black Panther 2?
As previously reported, news broke earlier this week that production for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever would be taking a brief hiatus. This is reportedly due to an injury that Letitia Wright, 28, sustained while filming a scene for the upcoming sequel. Initially, it was reported that production attempted to carry on with filming while they waited for Letitia Wright to return back to the U.S. from London where she’s been recovering. However, it was ultimately ruled that filming for the sequel would be placed on pause until early 2022 when Wright is able to come back to the States and resume filming.

But thanks to a new COVID travel rule recently implemented by the CDC, Letitia Wright’s plans to return to America to finish filming Black Panther 2 may not happen. On November 8 the CDC announced that all non-immigrant and non-U.S. citizens flying to America must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and give proof of their vaccination status prior to boarding a plane to the country.
This rule could keep Wright from returning to America to finish filming Black Panther 2 because she’s not vaccinated. Wright has been very vocal about her stance on not wanting to receive the COVID vaccine. Last December the actress found herself in the hot seat for sharing a video online encouraging people not to get the vaccine. She later issued an apology via her Twitter account.

This past October she also had to shut down allegations that she was sharing her anti-vaccination beliefs while filming her Marvel project. In part, she wrote,
“It saddens me to have to address the reports published by The Hollywood Reporter on October 6th 2021. The report spoke about my conduct on the set of Black Panther 2. I honestly assert that this was completely untrue.”
