Pete Davidson In Talks Of Hosting The 2022 Academy Awards
Pete Davidson is reportedly in talks of becoming the next host for the Oscars.
The news comes amidst reports that that the Academy wants to bring in a younger crowd for the annual event. The 28-year-old comedian, who is a popular fixture on Saturday Night Live, recently co-hosted NBC’s New Year’s Eve special with Miley Cyrus. A source tells Page Six:
“He gets a demographic that is hard to get.”
The source was presumably talking about his ability to pique the interest of Millennials and Generation Z. The Academy Awards are set to air on ABC on March 27th, 2022.
