Young Dolph – One Of The Suspected Killers Carjacked Getaway Car Just A Week Before His Murder

More details are unfolding in the Young Dolph murder case. Just one day after police arrested the two men who were responsible for the killing of the memphis rapper, new developments have now surfaced. According to reports, at least one of Young Dolph‘s murder suspects used his gun to carjack the Mercedes-Benz which was used as a getaway car in the fatal shooting. Police say the carjacking went down in Memphis, TN just one week before Dolph’s murder.

In new legal documents obtained by sources, officers say a woman in a white Mercedes-Benz told them she was approached by two armed men with AR-style guns as they demanded her car. She told police that one of the men hit her with the muzzle of a gun before she got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. She also revealed that one of the men ended up chasing her down because he was unable to start the car, forcing her back inside the vehicle at gunpoint. He proceeded to hit her again on the back of the head with his gun and demanded she starts the car.

Police claim one of the men drove off in the white Benz, while the other followed in a dark-colored Sedan . Reportedly, the Mercedes was used in a series of crimes, including Young Dolph’s murder. Detectives later tracked down the getaway car to a Memphis-area home shortly after Dolph was killed. According to the documents, police were able to dust the car for fingerprints which led them to Cornelius Smith.

As previously reported, both of the gunmen wanted for the murder of the Memphis rapper were placed in police custody Tuesday (Jan.11). Before getting arrested, the other suspect, Justin Johnson, shot a music video at the home where the Mercedes-Benz was later found. The U.S. Marshals Service believe that Johnson (who goes by the rap name Straight Dropp) was one of two people who opened fire on Young Dolph on Nov. 17, 2021.
