Nick Cannon Possibly Hints At Wanting Mariah Back On New Song
Nick Cannon Debuts New Song “Alone” On Valentine’s Day, Hints At Wanting Mariah Back
Nick Cannon is singing to all the singles (and at least one of his exes) this year, letting them know they’re not alone in being alone this Valentine’s Day.
Daytime talk show host Nick Cannon is reminiscing about “going back to the start” with his newest song Alone, which many speculate is dedicated to his ex-wife Mariah Carey.

One thing about Valentine’s Day is that it’ll definitely remind you how lonely you might be. This seems to be the case for Wildin’ Out Host Nick Cannon who released a new song on the holiday reminiscing about his past love and reflecting on not wanting to be alone.
Nick posted the song to his social media accounts with the caption:
“This is for anybody else who is #ALONE on Valentines Day… I had to come Raw from the heart on this one. #Broken #Shattered #Toxic #RAW&B #Alone”

In the song, Nick sings:
“I say I’m cool when I know I miss it
I’d trade it all for the case
If I could have you back
If I could go back to where we started at”
Leaving many social media users to speculate the song is referring to his former marriage with iconic R&B singer Mariah Carey. Sampling the song Love Takes Time from Mariah’s 1990 debut album, a press release reportedly stated that the song is said to be an “ode” to the We Belong Together singer, and “describes” Nick’s feelings “about Mariah and their split.”
The two started dating back in 2008 and were married later that same year. They welcomed twins Monroe and Moroccan in 2011, and announced their divorce in 2016.

A few years after the divorce was settled, Nick appeared on T.I.’s popular podcast Expeditiously, where he admitted that though he doesn’t feel like the marriage construct is for him, the only person he’d consider marrying is Mariah – again.
Though his marriage to the 52-year-old star singer is arguably Nick’s most notable relationship, there could possibly be a number of ex-girlfriends or baby mother’s Nick is singing so passionately about. Those could include reality tv star Kim Kardashian, mother of his twins Zion and Zillion – Abby De La Rosa, singer and actress Christina Milian, or former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.
