Donald Glover Trends After Interviewing Himself: Are You Afraid Of Black Women?
Donald Glover is taking the art of interviewing to a whole new level!
The 38-year-old actor/rapper, who is also known by the stage name Childish Gambino, recently conducted an interview with himself, which he described as an attempt to, “get questions I usually don’t get asked.” In the bizarre interview, the ‘Atlanta’ actor/creator spoke about an array of topics from his career, opinions on cancel culture, his views on race, and much more!
One of the unique questions Donald Glover posed to himself was,
“Are you afraid of Black women?”
As for the reason behind this question, Donald Glover continued,
“I feel like your relationship to them has played a big part in your narrative,”
He answered,
“I feel like you’re using Black women to question my Blackness.”
He later added,
“I hate talking about race more than five minutes unless it’s with other Black people and/or we’re laughing.”

Glover goes on to ask himself if he’s “worried about getting canceled,” to which he responded,
“I think that’s the game. A lot of people out here are celebrities. So their value is in people liking them. I believe my value is in my vision. So I have to make something good enough and just be human. You can get torn apart for anything, true or not.”
Glover’s self-interview antics didn’t stop there. He also chatted with himself about the controversy surrounding his upcoming project ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith.’ Amazon’s Prime Video announced last year that a television adaptation of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ is coming to their streaming platform. The original 2005 film stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as a married couple who are both keeping their real job — being trained assassins — a secret from each other.
Glover is set for the role of the husband and he revealed during his self-interview that actress Maya Erskine is now set to play the wife. Initially, actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge landed the role, However, in September, she unexpectedly left the project, leaving many to speculate what may have happened behind the scenes!
Glover addressed Phoebe’s exit during his interview and claimed, “classic creative differences” as the reason for the cast change. When he asked himself if he and Phoebe were still friends, the “Redbone” singer replied,
“What does it mean to be a friend? I still like her. I assume she still likes me.”
After the interview went live, it didn’t take long for the entertainer to trend on Twitter as people discussed the questions he asked himself.
