Kim Kardashian Said She And Kanye West Didn’t Talk For 8 Months After She Filed For Divorce

Kim Kardashian is opening up more about her split from Kanye West.

She was with the Yeezy designer for nine years and married to him for almost seven before filing for divorce in February of 2021. The filing came after a tense few months for the pair, which included Kanye West‘s controversial presidential run and revelations about their private life.

Now, Kim Kardashian is sharing what those first few months were like for them. Appearing on the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat, she revealed that they actually didn’t speak to each other for eight months following the divorce filing. She said:

“We went about eight months without even speaking to each other at the beginning of the divorce. He would still see the kids and stuff, just him and I took a minute of not talking. And I think it all, in relationships, it’ll be like that. I only hope for, I hope we are the ‘co-parenting goals’ at the end of the day.”

Eventually, Kardashian said, they started speaking around the time of his Donda listening parties, which were held toward the end of that summer. She supported him by attending, while West looked out for her by helping her prepare to host Saturday Night Live in October. The reality star claimed that at one point, West had even offered to quit his career to style her full-time.

“Kanye wants to quit everything and dedicate his life to being my stylist,” she reportedly said in a scene from her upcoming Hulu show, The Kardashians.

Though things would hit another snag when Kardashian started dating Pete Davidson, she said on the podcast that she has hope that “it’s gonna be all good again” because there’s still “so much love there.”

Kardashian also shared her support for his relationship with Chaney Jones, saying she just wants West to be happy.
