Kenya Moore Responds To A Fan Questioning RHOA Low Ratings: We Were Up Against BMA And NBA Finals

Although season 14 of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta just started, some fans are growing concerned about the ratings!

The hit reality tv show which typically gets high ratings with over a million views per episode, has been seeing a decrease in viewers. While there has only been three episodes thus far this season, the ratings have been lower than usual. Following the premiere episode, The Real Housewives Franchise Instagram account shared that the episode brought in 933,000 viewers,

“making it the lowest live-viewed episode in the history of RHOA.”

Episode 3 of Season 14 aired Sunday (May 15) and only received 850,000. While this number may be high for other shows, it is relatively low for RHOA who is historically known for having some of the highest ratings of any other franchise on Bravo.

RHOA vet Kenya Moore took to Twitter to respond to a fan who was alarmed by the low ratings. The social media user wrote,

“I’m still so shocked at these ratings! Bravo must be kicking themselves that their highest rated show has fallen so hard”

Kenya Moore replied to the fan, informing them that Sunday’s episode of RHOA had some stiff competition with viewers due to other popular shows that was airing during the same time. She wrote:

“We were up against BMA and NBA Finals next week will be even better. It’s a great season.”

With RHOA vets Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams exiting the franchise, there was a lot of pressure placed on the cast for season 14. Porsha Williams seemingly threw shade at RHOA for this seasons low ratings. On May 11, social media user Top Tier Housewives shared a throwback clip of NeNe Leakes boasting about Porsha. It appears Porsha caught wind of the shady tweet, and responded with a kiss face emoji. Her response seemingly hinted at her awareness of the show’s low ratings.
