The 1999 film “The Best Man” and the 2013 sequel “The Best Man Holiday,” will now come to a conclusion as a television series.
On Friday (June 3), star Morris Chestnut, 53, took to Twitter and posted a old photo of himself in honor of flashback Friday. The photo captures his character he portrayed in “The Best Man” as Lance. In the post, Morris Chestnut referenced the classic film and hinted toward a new installment that’s in the works. He captioned the post,
“#TheBestMan, 1999. #FBF
Excited for you all to see what we’ve been working on. #TheBestManFinalChapters”

According to reports, after almost a decade since the popular sequel “The Best Man Holiday” premiered, the story will conclude in the form of a limited series. In a Peacock limited series, “The Best Man: The Final Chapters” will catch up with the entire returning cast as “relationships evolve and past grievances resurface” over a span of 10 episodes.

Per reports, there isn’t a premiere date set as of now. The series is likely to air sometime during the holiday season in 2022 or early 2023. The Peacock series is currently underway and apparently, the trilogy has been in the works for years.
