Kanye West Is Allegedly ‘taking a year off’ From Music While ‘battling his own s**t’

It looks like Kanye West may be taking a step back from the music industry!

During a recent interview, rapper Vory — who worked with Kanye West, 45, on his album ‘Donda’ — said the 45-year-old rapper/entrepreneur is ‘taking a year off’ as he works on ‘battling his own s**t.’ Vory, 24, explained,

“I was just talking to [Kanye] today. We’ve been talking through my best friend who’s also his assistant, because he hasn’t been wanting to talk to anybody.. He’s taking a year off, and he was like, ‘Damn, you think Vory is going to be mad at me if I don’t go to his release party?’ And I was like, ‘Nah, you’re straight, bro.’ ‘He’s battling his own s**t…’That’s my dog, I learned a lot from him.”

Vory went on to explain just how much he and Kanye West have collaborated together. In addition to their collaboration on his latest album Lost Souls, Vory is also featured on several songs on Kanye’s Donda album. Vory explained,

“I was originally featured on Donda five times, and [Kanye] was just like, ‘Bruh, we damn near got an EP on this thing.’ So I guess his team decided that three times was enough.'”

The ‘Ain’t It Funny‘ rapper then praised the rapper-turned-fashion star for helping to validate his vision.

“The person who made me realize my twisted thoughts weren’t so twisted was Ye, because we think alike.”

Kanye West has been keeping a low profile recently after taking a break from social media and his public feuding with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend, Pete Davidson. Following a string of public insults and inappropriate social media posts, the “Flashing Lights” rapper has been pretty quiet the past couple months.

In April, it was reported that Kanye West and his team were looking for treatment facilities “with a luxury component” that will help him become a “better human and better dad.” A source close to the “Gold Digger” rapper recently shared,

“West’s team has been looking at treatment facilities for him.” 

The Insider added,

“he wants to enter a behavioral treatment center to be a better human and a better dad.”

Another source previously shared,

“for the sake of the kids, Kanye has told Kim he’s not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements, and he will go away somewhere to get better.”

A rep for Kanye added,

 “At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is focused on raising their beautiful children.”
