The reality star continued to gush over what it was like being around the musical superstar before she was famous. Simmons said,

“[My dad] signed Beyonce when she was 15 years old. She was singing with Destiny’s Child [but] they weren’t called Destiny’s Child at the time.”

DJ’s father Daryl Simmons, 65, was a big name in the music industry who worked with the production duo of L.A. Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. Simmons has written and produced songs for big names like Whitney Houston, TLC, Boyz ll Men and Toni Braxton to name a few.

DJ Simmons even recalled occasions when Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland would sit at the house” with him to make sure he “was straight” when his parents would leave and go out to dinner. He added,

“So I can say Beyoncé was my babysitter.”
