Kevin Hart Says Will Smith Is In A ‘Better Space’ & Is Ready To Move Forward Following His Infamous Oscars Slap
Will Smith is in a ‘better space’ and he’s ready to move forward, at least according to Kevin Hart.
During a recent appearance, the “DC League of Super-Pets” actor gave an update on his friend Will Smith, who has been grappling with the fallout and mixed reviews following his Oscars drama with Chris Rock.

Kevin Hart said,
“Will is apologetic, you know, he’s in a better space, of course, than what he was after. People are human and as humans sometimes we make mistakes. So it’s not about talking about the past, it’s about acknowledging the present and doing your best to move forward.”
He continued,
“I can get only hope that the two of them find a way to find some solace in that and move past it. I just like good energy. I love to see people be the best.”
As previously reported, Will Smith walked on the Academy Awards stage about four months ago (March 27) and slapped Chris Rock following an insensitive joke made about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith’s shaved head, which she rocks as a result of an alopecia condition. Chris Rock said,
“Jada, can’t wait for G.I. Jane 2.”
Smith then walked back to his seat and shouted at the comedian to keep his wife’s name out of his
“f*cking mouth.”
While Smith was able to remain at the ceremony and even take home his first Oscar for best actor (‘King Richard’), he has since paid for his actions by losing several movie and endorsement deals and being banned from attending any ceremonies for the next 10 years.
