Beyoncé Opens Up About The Making Of ‘Renaissance’ & Credits Husband Jay-Z For Being Her Muse: Creating This Album Allowed Me A Place To Dream
Beyoncé has her Beyhive buzzing as they await the release of her new album, Renaissance, which is set to be released at midnight!
Ahead of the forthcoming project’s unveiling, Beyoncé published a statement on her website about the creative process behind Renaissance and the musical journey that it took her on.
Originally produced during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Beyoncé stated that the album served as an outlet of solace in the midst of the storm.
She wrote:
“This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to the be the most creative. Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment.”
Later in the short essay, the icon opened up about the part her children, Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir, along with her husband, Jay-Z, played in the making of Renaissance.
“I want to give a special thank you to Rumi, Sir, and Blue for allowing me the space, creativity, and inspiration. And a special thanks to my beautiful husband and muse, who held me down during those late nights in the studio.”

Currently, Beyoncé is trending on Twitter as fans share their excitement for the project.
