Former NFL Star Marshawn Lynch Arrested In Las Vegas For DUI
Ex-NFL star, Marshawn Lynch was arrested in Las Vegas on Tuesday (Aug.9) after cops claim he was driving under the influence. According to reports, patrol officers stopped Marshawn Lynch, 36, around 7:25 a.m. at Fairfield Avenue and West Avenue, near Wyoming Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard on Tuesday. Sources claim he was driving into curbs on the side of the road before the traffic stop. After speaking with Marshawn, cops determined he was driving under the influence and he was taken to jail. Sources say the former NFL player did not submit to a breathalyzer, however, he did have his blood drawn.
According to booking logs, Marshawn Lynch was booked at the Las Vegas City Jail on counts of DUI, refuse surrender, driving an unregistered vehicle and failure to maintain a travel lane, according to booking logs. He remained at the jail as of this afternoon on $3,381 bail. No other information was released.
Marshawn Lynch has had a pretty successful NFL career. The former athlete played for 12 seasons in the league on various teams such as the Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders. However he won Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seattle Seahawks in Feb. 2014. Lynch is also a 5-time Pro Bowler and 2-time NFL rushing touchdown leader.
Lynch– who retired in 2019– reportedly owns a cannabis company and has brand deals with BetMGM and Skittles.
