Azealia Banks Accuses Nicki Minaj Of Shutting Down Her Reality TV Show That Was Allegedly In The Works: She Knows I’ll Have Much Better Ratings

It looks like Azealia Banks is working on taking her controversial comments to a broader platform, however, she claims a fellow rapper has put her plans on hold.

Rapper/singer Azealia Banks took to Instagram on Tuesday (August 23) to seemingly give her fans an update on what to expect next from the pop rap artist.

The Harlem native shared via her IG stories that she was supposed to begin filming for an apparent upcoming reality TV show. She then followed with the alleged reason for the show’s halt, in which she seemingly accused rapper Nicki Minaj, 39, of offering a proposition to the network. The 31-year-old song-writer wrote,

“I was supposed to start filming a reality show last month. But apparently Nicki gave the network an ultimatum because she knows I’ll have much better ratings… and now they all hate her and thinks she’s ghetto, terrible to work with, overweight and boring. But I’ve got three more offers in the inbox”

Shortly after Azealia Banks shared the cryptic post, she followed with a shorter text via her IG stories and shared her excitement for the reality TV show that’s apparently still happening. Banks added,

“Ok so the Azealia Banks reality tv show is happening. I’m excited. FINALLY people get to see the real me: an a**hole”

Nicki Minaj has yet to reply to Banks’ claims.

As previously reported, Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj is fresh off a big win after her new song “Super Freaky Girl” debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The rap artist reached the milestone after the song was streamed 21.1 million times, gained 4.6 million radio airplay audience impressions, and sold 89,000 digital downloads in its first week. The track serves as Minaj’s first solo number one hit without a feature.
