Porsha Williams Grandfather Claims Jesse Jackson “Raked” Dr. King’s Blood From The Floor & Put It On His Shirt To Sell Lie About Being Present During His Assassination In Resurfaced Video: I Went Crazy, I Really Tried To Kill Jesse

Reality star Porsha Williams’ grandfather made shocking accusations about Jesse Jackson in a resurfaced video clip.

Hosea Williams, a prominent civil rights activist since the 1950’s and close associate of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., claimed the revered told falsities about being the last one to hold Dr. King’s head at the time of his passing. Arguably the most notable civil rights leader of the civil rights movement, Dr. King was assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN back in 1968. Although Jesse Jackson claims to have been next to the Dr. at the time he was killed, Hosea Williams says that was nothing more than a sick lie.

During the interview, recently resurfaced and circulating the internet, Williams told the story of how things allegedly “truthfully” went down. Speaking on Jackson’s actions during the aftermath of the shooting, Williams stated:

“I heard Jesse Jackson say ‘he told me Jesse take our people on to the mountaintop’ and that didn’t bother me even though I know Jesse got nowhere near him. And then Jesse said ‘I held his head in my hand while he died’, and that didn’t get to me, then Jesse said ‘look at my shirt’,”

He continued, allegeding that Jackson actually staged blood on his clothes to sell the story. He stated:

“I look around and sure enough….Jesse Jackson’s shirt was drenched in blood. And I realized the only way Jesse could’ve gotten that blood was stoop down on that floor of the Lorraine motel and raked that blood off that floor and put that blood on him”

Adding:

“I went crazy I really tried to kill Jesse….That hurt me so bad”

As if the story isn’t horrific enough, Williams goes on to say that Jackson took things even further. Claiming that the Chicago pastor then went on continue spreading the false tale, he stated:

“We called a staff meeting and Jesse claimed to have been ill and Abernathy told him ‘Jesse go head to the room and relax’, Jesse had to have run like hell that room into that airport because he got out of Memphis to Chicago….cut the televisions on that next morning that was Jesse Jackson in Chicago, with that same bloody shirt on, telling that same lie,”

The clip ends with Williams stating:

“I’ve never respected Jesse since that moment.”

A news article from 1988 shows that there were other individuals who also attested to Jackson’s supposed lie. During the presidential campaign that year, in which mayor Ed Koch and Jesse Jackson were campaigning against one another, Koch accused Jackson of lying about “cradling” the late Dr. King after the tragic assassination, to “feather his own flock”. Jackson’s rebuttal was that he didn’t change his shirt before the Chicago TV appearance due to trauma, stating it was ”in part defiance and anger and hurt.”

Jesse Jackson has maintained he was truthful about the incident.
