Update: Chadwick Boseman’s Uncle Found After Being Reported Missing

Update: Good news for the Boseman family!

According to reports, Chadwick Boseman’s uncle, Tony Boseman, has been found!

Tony Boseman was located on September 6 by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say the elderly man was found walking about half a mile from his home — near a wooded area. He initially went missing on Sunday, September 4.

A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office says Tony Boseman was severely dehydrated. He was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.

The rep added,

“He has been reported missing a time or two here. We’re hoping that this is the last and they can come up with some sort of game plan moving forward.”

Original Story: An uncle of the late Chadwick Boseman has gone missing.

According to reports, on Sunday (Sept. 4) the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office state that Chadwick Boseman’s uncle, Tony Boseman, was reported missing. Authorities state that Tony Boseman was last spotted in the Boseman Road area around 3:30 p.m. wearing camo pants, a green shirt, black shoes and a Los Angeles baseball cap.

On Tuesday (Sept. 6) the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division helped search for Tony Boseman with a helicopter. Anderson County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in looking for him with a helicopter. Reports state that the late actor’s uncle suffers from dementia and type 2 diabetes. Tony’s disappearance followed after the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony on Saturday (Sept. 3). Chadwick Boseman was awarded the Black Panther star with his first Emmy win for his in Marvel’s What If…? Series. 

As previously reported, Chadwick passed away two years ago on Aug. 28 from colon cancer. In 2016, he was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer and battled the disease in silence for four years as it progressed to stage IV.
