PnB Rock Laid To Rest During Traditional Muslim Funeral Service In Philadelphia, Following Family’s Reported Dispute W/ Authorities To Bring His Body Home

It’s seemingly a sad time for the family, friends, and fans of PnB Rock as he has reportedly been laid to rest.

As you may already know, on Monday (Sept. 12), PnB Rock was fatally shot while dining out with his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles in South Los Angeles.

Following PnB Rock’s (born Rakim Hasheem Allen) death, his family reportedly requested to receive his body right away for reasons within their Islamic religion’s culture, but officials refused due to it being a part of the ongoing investigation. In addition to that, the rapper’s mother didn’t want an autopsy performed; however, by law, it was mandatory.

In an Instagram post, his brother, PnB Meen wrote:

We been having trouble getting my brother back to Philadelphia. The state of Los Angeles claiming they have some type of law, going against [us] as Muslims. Now I have no clue when his Janazah. It’s not right, yo. It’s goin on a week. Prayers up. I got you bro an ya daughters.”

A Janazah is a Muslim funeral that is normally conducted within 24 hours of the deceased’s passing. Although the setbacks delayed PnB Rock’s ceremony, he’s said to have had a nice service in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday (Sept. 21).

The mother of the late, fellow music icon XXXTENTACION (who previously worked with Rock), Cleopatra Bernard, was reportedly in attendance as well.

The 30-year-old’s killing was said to have taken place shortly after his partner, Stephanie Sibounheuang, shared a photo of their location via an Instagram Story. Subsequent to the news of the “Selfish” artist’s demise, rumors of Stephanie Sibounheuang’s alleged connection to the tragedy began to swirl.

However, new developments in the case report that authorities don’t believe that she had any involvement, actually, and investigators are pointing in the direction of his murder being more than just a random robbery attempt. Instead, they are leaning toward the idea that it was a planned execution and are focusing on possible enemies of Rock’s.
