‘Power Rangers’ Star Jason David Frank Dead By Suicide At 49 [CONDOLENCES]

Sad news for 90s babies!

Jason David Frank, one of the original “Power Rangers,” has died at the age of 49. Reportedly, his death is the result of suicide. He’s survived by his four children.

Jason David Frank

Jason David Frank was an actor and mixed martial artist who was most known as Tommy Oliver from the original run of the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” franchise, which premiered in 1993.

As you may recall, Jason David Frank’s character, which was the Green Ranger in season one, was first introduced as an enemy of the Power Rangers. However, he eventually did a 180 and became good. After his powers started to deteriorate he turned into the White Ranger and was soon tapped as the new leader of the superhero group. Frank starred as one of the leads for 3 seasons, totaling 123 episodes.

He also reprised his role as Tommy in several adaptions of “Power Rangers” and, at one point, was a Black Ranger and Red Ranger.

Frank’s rep released a statement saying,

“Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being. He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will truly be missed.”

Fans of the talented actor have taken to Twitter to share their reactions to the shocking news:

Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved one of Jason David Frank during this difficult time.
