Tia Mowry & Cory Hardrict — Tamera Mowry Addresses Twin Sister’s Divorce After 14 Years of Marriage: Right Now She Just Kind of Wants To Process It All
Tamera Mowry is opening up about her Sister, Sister‘s divorce.
During an appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna, Tamera Mowry was asked if the news of her sister’s divorce makes her heart break in half for her twin. While she neglected to go into great detail, she did make it clear that she supports her sister through whatever decision she makes.
Tamera Mowry said,
“I support her. So whatever she wants, the Mowrys have her back. I love her dearly, she is strong. But I know right now she just kind of just wants to … process it all [and] take it all in and be a little private about that. And you know, as a sister, you know, I’m just going to respect that.”
As previously reported, Tia Mowry announced her separation from her 14-year husband Cory Hardrict on Tuesday (October 4), citing “irreconcilable differences.” The two started dating six years before getting married in 2008 after meeting on the set of the movie Hollywood Horror, in which they both starred. They have two children together: Cree, 11, and Cairo, 4. Tia Mowry is asking for joint custody and the prohibition against either party requesting spousal support.

In an Instagram post, she said,
“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”
While it’s unclear at this time what led to the end of their relationship, there is speculation that Cory Hardrict is to blame. He shared a “cryptic” message on his Instagram Story not long before Tia Mowry made the announcement. The post read,
“Acting off of emotions will cost you every time.”

Tia also shared a message to her Story. It said,
“Letting go can be painful. But it won’t hurt as much as holding on to an illusion.”
