Meek Mill Calls Out ‘BET’ For Inviting His Ex Milan Harris To Participate In A Rap Cypher: It’s Like A Setup, Embarrassment Made To Look Like Opportunity!

Meek Mill wasn’t a fan of his baby mother spitting bars during BET’s Hip-Hop awards cypher.

‘BET’ recently hosted its annual Hip-Hop Awards ceremony, in which they invited fashion designers, entrepreneurs, journalists, comedians, and social media influencers to join a “Fun 16” cypher. Milan Harris, the founder of Milano Di Rouge, was one of the entrepreneurs that took the mic and rapped over Missy Elliot’s “Hot Boyz” beat.

However, Meek Mill, who shares a son with Milan Harris, didn’t think there was anything funny about the mother of his child participating in the cypher. In fact, he implied that it was a complete embarrassment. On Wednesday (Oct. 5) rapper Meek Mill took to Twitter and wrote:

“Ion like “bet” got my bm tryna spit bars for attention/clout …it’s like a setup embarrassment made to look like opportunity! and I’m with the “women hustler empowerment motion” but y’all drawin ..  Pure manipulation”

The Philly native continued:

“I was voicing my opinion about a connection to my life and a company I been getting money wit ..  .. all them women lit  love to them! Everything ain’t networking especially if you say you getting money … stay true to your self “phones” made us all get a lil lost even me!”

Meek, born Robert Rihmeek Williams, shared:

“I’m scared to rap and say the truth nowadays it’s soooo vicious out here … this run I am tho…. it’s like therapy for me!”

The 35-year-old added:

“Sh*t not even owned by blacks to my knowledge…. I live life without narrative one of the reason I don’t have religion …. The streets traumatized me and hypnotized me to that and I’m breaking that! Catch me outside I’m not perfect but I’m not living in that fame narrative lol.”

Milan Harris loved the opportunity and seemingly used the criticism behind her ‘16 bars’ to reveal she’s having an “I Can’t Rap” 15% off sale on her website and in-store. Following her sale announcement, the fashion designer took to Instagram and wrote:

“Thank you @bet for allowing me to step out my comfort zone and try something new and fun. I didn’t realize rapping was so hard lol. Thanks @itsguwok for helping me with a few bars and @youngchrisnt for helping me with a few bars and my flow at the last minute.”

As previously reported, Milan and Meek decided to call it quits shorts after the summer of 2020. The “Blue Notes 2” artist previously shared the news on Twitter writing:

“We me and Milano decided to remain friends and build our child as separate parents … we still have mad love for eachother but we both came to a understanding! -meek-“
