In an episode of the radio host’s “Brilliant Idiots” podcast, which aired on Thursday (Oct. 27), Charlamagne Tha God shared his opinion on the current “blacklisting” of Kanye West’s career. During the 17:08 mark of the podcast, Charlamagne Tha God, born Lenard Larry McKelvey, said:
“He needs to start really leaning into God. Because nothing he’s doing is of God.”
The 44-year-old added:
“I hope that this is what helps him go find some real healing because clearly he’s hurting. I don’t see this ending well. I feel like he’s moving like a person who doesn’t feel like he’s gonna be here much longer.”
Over the month of October, Kanye West’s erratic behavior has flooded headlines worldwide. On Oct. 3, Kanye, who uses the pseudonym Ye, received backlash after he showcased “white lives matter” t-shirts during a Yeezy presentation amid Paris Fashion Week. Following the criticism, the “Good Life” rapper took to Instagram to label the Black Lives Matter movement a scam. The 45-year-old wrote:
“Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam. Now it’s over. You’re welcome.”

The father of four continued throughout the month making antisemitic remarks and controversial statements in interviews that put his career in jeopardy.
The Chicago native has been facing a domino effect of terminated partnerships due to the comments he has made regarding George Floyd’s death, attacking the Jewish community, and questionable opinions about Black people. As previously reported, Adidas booted their Yeezy-Adidas collaboration with the fashion designer, which cost him his billionaire status. Balenciaga and Chase Bank also terminated their partnership with the entrepreneur, stating that their policies do not tolerate any form of antisemitism.
As previously reported, Kanye’s Donda Academy was almost a victim of his backlash as it temporarily closed due to the current reputation of the artist.
