Desiigner Drops New Song After Claiming He Was Done w/ Music Following Takeoff’s Untimely Death + Seemingly Addresses Claims That He Sounds Like Future
It appears Desiigner has changed his mind on wanting to quit rap following Takeoff’s murder as he recently released a song that separates himself from Future soundalike comparisons.
According to reports, rapper/singer Desiigner, born Sidney Selby III, dropped his new song “Bigger And Bigger” over the weekend.

Desiigner
On the auto-tuned track, the New York-born rapper can reportedly be heard bragging about his wealth increasing and detailing his past crimes.
Following the track’s release, the 25-year-old artist seemingly took note of fans comparing the song to a Future track and used his platform on TikTok to respond. In the clip, Desiigner is seen with his new song playing as his nose began to grow like Pinocchio’s. He captioned the video,
“When they say I sound like Future”

Reports state that Desiigner earned a Billboard No. 1 single before fellow rap artist Future, 39. In December 2015, Desiigner’s debut single “Panda” reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Future, on the other hand, born Nayvadius Wilburn, is considered one of the most influential rappers of his generation. Seemingly thanks to his melody, rap skills, and use of auto-tune in his modern trap music.

Future
As you may already know, Desiigner claimed he was retiring from rap due to the passing of Migos member Takeoff and the violence surrounding hip-hop.

Takeoff
As previously reported, Takeoff, born Kirshnik Ball, was fatally shot at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas on November 1. Following the shocking news, an emotional Desiigner took to his Instagram Live and shared with fans that due to Takeoff’s death he no longer wants to be a rapper. He said,
“Why, why did we do this?!”
Crying, he continued,
“I swear, this sh*t ain’t nothing! I swear to God this sh*t ain’t nothing. I’m done rapping!”
