‘Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City’ Star Jen Shah Attempted Suicide Due To Internet Trolling Over Fraud Scandal: My Husband Had To Take Me To The Hospital

Internet trolling had reality TV star Jen Shah in a really dark place.

During Wednesday’s (Dec. 14) episode of “Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City,Jen Shah told co-star Whitney Rose that the backlash she’s facing from her current legal drama caused her to attempt to take her own life. The 49-year-old said:

“I tried to commit suicide and my husband had to take me to the hospital.”

Jen Shah continued and revealed that friend-of-the-show Angie Harrington’s husband, Chris, creating a fake IG account to shame her really affected her mental health in a bad way.

According to reports, in the midst of Shah’s fraud trial, Chris Harrington created an anonymous Instagram account called “shahexposed” to bash other Bravolebrities. Shah said:

“The whole Angie Harrington and Chris Harrington thing affected me so much that I tried to take my life.”

As previously reported, Jen Shah pled guilty to fraud charges in July for allegedly being in charge of a nationwide telemarketing scheme that targeted hundreds of elderly people. She was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and reportedly faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and five years of supervised release. However, Shah’s plea agreement calls for only 11 to 14 years in prison and restitution of up to $9.5 million. Entering the guilty plea means that Shah will not stand trial. The Utah native will learn her fate in a few weeks on Jan. 6, 2023.
