Tristan Thompson Ordered To Pay $58K In Back Child Support To Maralee Nichols, w/ Whom He Shares 2-Year-Old Son Theo

Update (March 22, 2024): Tristan Thompson has been ordered to pay $58,000 in back child support over his and Maralee Nichols’ 2-year-old son Theo. 

The NBA player is accused of skipping payments from September 15, 2023, to January 31, 2024, per The Sun. He was previously ordered to pay $9,500 a month.

Original Story (Dec. 16, 2022): There has been new updates regarding Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal. 

According to new reports, today (Dec. 16) in Los Angeles County Superior Court it was settled that Tristan Thompson, will be shelling out $9,500 a month to his second-youngest child, Theo, that he shares with Maralee Nichols. On top of child support for their one-year-old, Tristan Thompson’s monthly fees will cover some of Maralee Nichols’ lawyer fees.

The $9,500 may seem low considering the NBA player’s contracts have equaled to  $100M over the span of his basketball career. However, the 31-year-old isn’t currently on a team and not earning income at the moment which is the operative factor in determining child support. Maralee Nichols has been granted custody of their child while they work on a visitation plan.  

As previously reported, Tristan’s cheating scandal went public after Maralee gave birth to Theo last December. Theo’s mother sued Tristan for child support and alleged he offered to pay her $75,000 to keep quiet about the baby. In January, Tristan had no choice but to come clean after a paternity test revealed he was Theo’s father. At the time, Khloe Kardashian, who eventually called it quits in 2019 with the Canadian native due to infedelity, was expectating a son via surrogate with Tristan. Khloe Kardashian and Tristan are co-parents to their new born son, and their four-year-old daughter True.
