Quavo Trends As Fans React To His New Tribute Song For The Late Takeoff: You’re Never The Same When You Lose Your Best Friend, You Never Heal

Quavo is reflecting on Takeoff’s death in a new heartfelt tribute song, “Without You.”

On Wednesday (Jan. 4) night, Quavo released a song and video reflecting on the death of his nephew and fellow Migos member, Takeoff.

In the song, Quavo raps:

“Tears rolling down my eyes. Can’t tell you how many times I cried. Days ain’t the same without you. I don’t know if I’m the same without you…I wish I had a time machine just so you can take a ride with me. But I know it don’t work that way and I’mma see you again someday.”

Following the release of the emotional track, the Atlanta rapper has been trending as fans react to what he shared. On Twitter user wrote,

“You’re never the same when you lose your best friend, you never heal, you just get used to the pain. Wife died 13 years ago and some days the pain is unbearable. God bless Quavo, hang in there.”

Another user expressed,

“The type of pain no one would want to imagine. Pray for Quavo. RIP Takeoff”

Others shared:

As previously reported, Takeoff (real name Kirsnick Khari Ball) was shot to death on Nov. 1 while at a bowling alley in Houston. Several people were present, including his uncle and fellow Migos member Quavo. Police said Takeoff was an innocent bystander in a crowd of people near an argument over a dice game, which reportedly led to the shooting.

Last month, 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested in Houston, Texas, and charged with the murder of Takeoff. According to sources, records show that Clark made his $1 million bond on Wednesday (Jan. 4) and was released from prison.

Clark allegedly had a revolver in one hand and a wine bottle in another when he was shown on camera shooting his firearm, according to detectives working the case. Takeoff is said to have been hit by the bullets. Detectives claim that the fingerprints on that wine bottle helped officials identify the suspect.

Fellow Migos member Offset has also paid tribute to Takeoff. Last month, Offset took to social media to share a video clip of a touching tribute to Takeoff. The video featured a black-and-white image of the late rapper on the screen while The Jackson 5’s “Never Can Say Goodbye,” played in the background. Offset then came on stage facing the picture, fully embracing the moment.

Offset captioned the post,

“Before every show love you bra.”
