Keyshia Ka’oir Provides $20K Receipt Seemingly Disproving Claims That Her Husband Gucci Mane Lied About Paying For His Late Artist’s Funeral Expenses: ‘We Also Sent Flowers & Not Even A Thank You’

Gucci Mane’s wife, Keyshia Ka’oir, came with receipts after her husband made headlines for allegedly ghosting Big Scarr’s family and not keeping his promise to pay for the late rapper’s funeral.

As previously reported, Big Scarr was pronounced dead on Dec. 22 after he accidentally overdosed on prescription pills at his girlfriend’s Memphis, Tennessee residence. Before Big Scarr, born Alexander Woods, passed away at 22 he was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records label and recently named on the 2022 XXL Freshman list.

Over the weekend, Scarr’s close friend, who goes by Quezz Ruthless, took to an Instagram live stream to call out Gucci Mane, 42, for offering to pay for Big Scarr’s funeral expenses but allegedly failing to do so when the time called. Quezz Ruthless said:

“The minute that them folks called your phone to see if you gon’ pay for the funeral you blocked them. That’s not real cuz. On God that’s not real you ain’t straight. You ain’t straight.”

Accusing Gucci of requesting Scarr’s family to return his 1017 jewelry, he continued:

“You tryna act all real. You posted Scarr talking ‘bout some ‘Long Live’ him bruh, you ain’t do nothing cuz on God and you ain’t getting them chains cuz. You can’t get them chains. There’s no way you could get them chains. It ain’t no way that’s happening. Come on now fool, you trippin’ cuz. Thought we was just gon’ let that go cuz? Nah. It’s over with. You played.”

The day the unfortunate news about Scarr was revealed to the public, Gucci shared a post dedicated to the good times he had with his artist. The caption read:

“This hurt. I’m a miss you @bigscarr”

Enforcing that it’s more about the principal and not the money, the Memphis native explained:

“And we don’t need ‘yo money n*gg*. We don’t need your money to pay for his funeral n*gg*. He was gon’ get buried either way. It’s just the point that you supposed to be his CEO and you supposed to be this this and that and you done lied like that cuz. You shouldn’t even feel straight with yourself on God you shouldn’t cuz. I ain’t nothing with you cuz.”

Scarr’s former collaborator also stated Gucci’s excuse for denying payments for the funeral was to fund his wife’s birthday celebration. Keyshia and Gucci have been married since 2017. The couple shares a two-year-old son, Ice Davis, and as you may know, they’re currently expecting their second child together.

 Quezz said:

“When they texted you and asked you about Scarr funeral cuz you told them folks that Keyshia birthday coming up. Y’all rich. Y’all can celebrate her birthday anyday. Come on now cuz.”

Responding to the users’ comments during the livestream, he said:

“I thought Gucci was rich too. Ha! Fooled all of us. Man, it ain’t even ‘bout no n*gg* being rich, it’s not ‘bout no money, it’s not ‘bout none of that. It’s about the respect bruh.”

Scarr’s sister, Alexandra Woods, also accused Gucci of asking for the chain’s back and holding back funds for Scarr’s funeral in the comments of a Facebook post. Alexandra Woods wrote:

“OMM he not getting them chains back!! Before anyone get to speaking on some sh*t they DONT know about! YES He asked for the chains back & NO he not getting them h**s back!! My brother earned ts my brother mean everything to us and for him to do him like that is low down *f!!! He said he couldn’t pay for the funeral because his wife birthday coming up’ n*gg* you a millionaire Gucci a B*TCH!!! Gotta get in back in blood!!!”

On Sunday (Jan. 8) the late rapper’s sister also posted an image of herself wearing his chain. In the caption she wrote:

GET IT BACK IN BLOOOOD! MY BROTHER EARNED TS #LLSTANK. F*CK THE RAP GAME!”

However, despite the serious claims coming from Big Scarr’s family, Gucci Mane’s wife, Keyshia Ka’oir, is singing a different tune. On Monday morning (Jan. 9) Keyshia Ka’oir took to Instagram to defend her husband with receipts revealing that Gucci paid thousands of dollars to a Memphis funeral home on Dec. 30. Showing a $10,000 receipt, Keyshia wrote:

“Payment directly to funeral home! Leave my husband alone!”

Keyshia then followed up with a screenshot of an email showing that Alexander Woods was sent an image of the receipt from N.J Ford & Sons funeral home on Dec. 30. Keyshia wrote:

“He did this out of the goodness of his heart!”

She also took to her Instagram story and shared:

“We also sent flower and not even a thank u.”

In addition, Keyshia posted another receipt displaying that Gucci paid a total of $20,000 for Scarr’s funeral. She said:

“$20K total! [Gucci Mane] what u did to these folks mane!!”
