Janet Jackson Sued By Business Managers For “Unpaid Services”, Singer Owes Over $230K

Janet Jackson will have to appear in a courtroom soon.

According to reports, the Grammy-winning singer is being sued for what her managers call “unpaid services” which totals up to $238,593.88. The lawsuit is filed against Janet Jackson and some of her businesses dating back to 2017. The lawsuit alleges that Janet Jackson was in abusiness management services agreement” in August of 2017 with David Weise and Associates, a company that describes itself as “the largest business management firm in the country” that has a reputation of partnering with entertainers. David Weise and Associates clarified:

“We work alongside the world’s top artists in music, film, and television, as well as athletes, executives, entrepreneurs, and other high achievers, offering a sophisticated range of concierge-style services to meet their lifestyle management needs.”

The company is accusing the 56-year-old of refusing to pay the full amount owed for the work they put in amid her career. Reports state that Jackson is no stranger to lawsuits as she was also sued in 2018 for owing similar outstanding debts. Danny O’Donovan, her former manager, claimed that the artist and her brother, Randy Jackson, hired him as the manager for the “State of the World Tour” back in 2016 agreeing to pay him $25,000 a month. Danny O’ Donovan worked for 17 months, in which he was paid for the first five months, but eventually the checks stopped coming in. A year later Jackson’s former manager claimed he still hadn’t received any money, so he sued the siblings for $300,000.

If Jackson loses this lawsuit, she’d be able to compensate the plaintiff seeing that she’s going on tour again! As previously reported, the pop icon announced her ninth concert tour “Together Again” adding more dates to the overwhelming demand.
